Local Information

The pretty village of Peasenhall is in easy walking distance which has a very well equipped shop and post office, tea rooms, traditional family butcher and Emmett’s, the renowned delicatessen and café. Walk across our front meadow, join the foot path and in 5 minutes you will find yourself at Sibton White Horse pub, voted Suffolk’s Dining pub of the year. There are several other pubs and restaurants a short drive away.

There are numerous footpaths and bridleways which you can link into directly from the farmhouse, enabling you to explore the area and take in the wonderful wildlife and countryside this part of Suffolk has to offer.  If you are a keen cyclist there are numerous country lanes to explore and we are on the Suffolk Coastal No 1 Cycle Route.

We are ideally situated for exploring the area. The Heritage Coast with the popular coastal centres of Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Thorpness are all in easy driving distance. For nature lovers there is RSPB Minsmere (home to BBC Springwatch), Dunwich and Westleton Heaths.

Snape Maltings, home to the world famous concert hall, operated by Aldeburgh Music, with a varied selection of shops, restaurants and art galleries is 10 miles away.

There are several historic market towns to explore such as Framlingham, Woodbridge, Halesworth and Beccles.
